If we consider living materials as an interface between humans and the environment, new scopes of action open up for design and for the development of new manufacturing technologies. In the context of the first BioLab Residency, we asked ourselves what opportunities open up for the design process when microorganisms become constitutive components of materials and have the ability to adapt to the most diverse environmental situations.
